Crowd Control

(Do Your Own Thing)

“Follow your inner moonlight; don't hide the madness.”

― Allen Ginsberg

It’s impossible for me to say what genre of music I like best buuuuuuuuuut I F*CKING ADORE house/dance/techno/electronic/EDM through the ages… Fred Again, Camelphat (an interview of the Liverpudlian duo inspired this video), Guetta, Daft Punk, Kaskade, Tiësto, Deadmau5, THE PRODIGYYYYYYY (RIP Keith - he spat vodka all over us from the stage at a festival in the UK once in the late 90s).

It’s epic and ethereal a good house/electronic dance party, surrounded by thousands…and DJs are often brilliant artists and performers. When they’re good, their crowd work is something else. And when you need to lighten up, crank up the music and change your inner frequency - if you want a “basic b*tch” behavioral hack to help you with the blues, here’s one; drop everything and DANCE like your life depends on it.

The scouse accent is one of the RICHEST of all the English accents; melodic and guttural; a cornucopia of different Northern European sounds. Yes it reminds us of course of The Beatles but it was heavily influenced by Irish and Welsh immigrants, and Scandinavian sailors, who arrived via the Liverpool docks - and so they also say that this lineage informed how musical Liverpudlians are.

Thank you @williamshear for helping me with the edit and re-edit and for reminding me to express my joy. Thank you @pwillyart for helping me with the accent and for writing “existential housing crisis” - it’s the best line.

You can subscribe and support me through Substack: https://substack.com/@iamsorryforyourlost I do a live sessions at least once a month on there too!
