THANK YOU for all your love, kindness and support. It has been SUCH an enormous pleasure meeting you online and, with some of you, eventually, in person. One of the unexpected gifts of creating these videos has been MEETING YOU.
Hello to everyone who’s joined me this past few weeks; I am glad and honoured you’re here.
Newsflash, I was given the opportunity of submitting my reel to SNL (Saturday Night Live) this week. Whatever way the winds blows, it’s an achievement for me. I’ll post that reel separately :)
And lastly, I’ve been thinking a lot about vulnerability this week…wasn’t sure if I should share this Robin video, fearful of a certain arrogance/cringe factor with it…also wasn’t sure if I should tell you about SNL.
From Brené Brown’s “Daring Greatly”:
“Our rejection of vulnerability often stems from our associating it with dark emotions like fear, shame, grief, sadness, and disappointment—emotions that we don’t want to discuss, even when they profoundly affect the way we live, love, work, and even lead. What most of us fails to understand, and what took me a decade of research to learn, is that vulnerability is also the cradle of the emotions and experiences that we crave.
Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”
